On Kids Sudoku 4×4, Junior 6×6 and Junior+ 8×8, the old hint button — which revealed a digit outright — has been replaced by a 🆘 Help button. Instead of handing over the answer immediately, it opens a small panel below the grid that animates the reasoning, cell by cell, to show where the digit goes and why.

The goal is no longer just to unblock a puzzle, but to help players understand how the answer is found — so that a child (or a beginner) needs help less and less as the games go by.

One click on 🆘 Help opens the panel, driven by a ⏭ Next step button. Each blocking cell takes a single click: the digit involved grows and turns red, then its whole row, column and box turn red in turn — the area that is precisely what stops that digit from going anywhere else. The number of help uses available is still capped by the difficulty you picked, exactly like the old hint system — only the way you use them has changed. The grid stays fully visible throughout the animation: this is not a window covering it, just a panel opening underneath.

The feature is live, in both English and French, on the three grids designed for learning:

An instant reveal solves the problem of the moment, but teaches nothing for next time. By showing the reasoning — which area is already taken, why only one cell is left — the animated help aims to pass on the solving logic itself, the same logic used on the 9×9 grids for more advanced levels (see How to play for the complete set of techniques).
